Privacy Policy

Who we are

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens (morikamipark.com) is an independent visitor guide published by MMR Internet, LLC. It is not operated by or affiliated with the park's owner or managing agency. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit this site and the choices you have.

Effective date: October 3, 2026.

What we collect

This site has no user accounts, sign-up forms or comment sections, and we don't ask you for your name, email address or other personal details.

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the time of your visit. These logs are used to run and secure the site.

We also use the third-party services described below, which may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are popular and how people find us. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, approximate location and device type, and reports it to us in aggregate. We don't use it to identify you personally. You can learn more in Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense, which helps keep the guide free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. For more about how Google uses data, see "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites).

Your cookie choices

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before cookies are used for personalized ads, through a consent message provided by Google. You can change your choices at any time with the privacy and cookie settings link shown on the page.

Wherever you are, you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them, though you may see less relevant ads.

US state privacy rights

We don't sell personal information for money. Some US state laws, such as California's, treat the use of cookies for personalized advertising as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Where a "Do not sell or share my personal information" link is shown, you can use it to opt out, or you can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access to or deletion of personal information; contact us at the address below.

Children

This site is a general-audience travel guide and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Links to other sites

Our pages link to official park websites, maps and other resources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we don't control.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above shows when it last changed. Questions or requests about privacy can be sent to support@mmrinternet.com.
